How You Can Help
Donate to Allison's Fund
To make a donation to the Allison P. Kerns Medical Fund, either click on the button below, or contact Katie Kerns at katie@allisonkerns.com.
Donations to Allison's fund go directly toward medical expenses, her power wheelchair, and the on-going necessities of a child with a disability.
Donate to MDA or FSMA
We attended our first FSMA conference this summer where they announced that researchers have found a viable compound that is said to "cure" SMA in lab mice test models. This is the first drug discovered/developed specific to SMA, but could take years to come to fruition. The faster this happens, the better chance my little girl has of benefiting from it.
Research is the key for children like Allison. A cure for SMA is so close, but money is always needed. If you are able donate anything, even if it's only $10, it will be appreciated more than you know.
To donate to one of these worthy organizations, visit www.MDA.org or www.FSMA.org

We're so lucky that our friend, Joe Motil, who works for the Fire Department in Tampa, has been granted permission by the Fire Union to post fliers about Allison in all of the Tampa and St. Petersburg Fire stations. That's around 20 stations!! The Fire Union also agreed to donate $400 themselves, with the hopes that the St. Petersburg Fire Union will match it. He already got one donation in the first day!! Yay Joe! Thanks to all of his and his wife, Andrea's support!

Our friend Jennifer Burns, a fantastic artist who has some of her work on display at the local downtown gallery Studio Encanto, is raffling off a piece of her original artwork at the University of South Florida, MBA Dept. where she works here in St. Petersburg. Jennifer has raised over $200 for Allison so far. Thank you so much Jen!
